I moved in,
She moved off
To the side
In a jerk.

The rest of the evening
Was very nice
I look forward
To seeing her again,
But

There is something to be said
In that there really is,
More regret
In not making the attempt.

Now I think
I'm going to do
The dignified thing
And move off to the side,
In a jerk
Or maybe two.
